DescriptionPhotograph from the movie, "The Far Country" co-starring Arkansas native, J.C. Flippen. Flippen is situated in the far right of the composition. Any other use, including television, Prohibited." and "Printed in the U.S.A." To the right of the text, a handwritten note has "J.C. Flippen" and an arrow pointing above to Flippen in blue ink.

Jay C. Flippen was born March 6, 1899 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a character actor who often played sheriffs or criminals starring both in television and films from the 1940s to 1960s. He appeared in over 100 films and television series. Flippen died February 3, 1971.
