DescriptionOne-sheet poster from the movie "Lucky Jordan," starring Arkansas native Alan Ladd. The 1942 film was Ladd's first leading role.

Alan Ladd was born September 3, 1913, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and lived in Arkansas until around the age of five. He was an actor who appeared in over 80 films and was one of the most recognizable celebrities of the 1940s and '50s. He starred in such films as "Two Years before the Mast," "The Blue Dahlia," and "The Great Gatsby." However, Ladd is perhaps best known for his role in the 1953 western movie "Shane." Ladd died on January 29, 1964.

The movie is about a gambler/racketeer who tries to get out of serving in the military and after being drafted, deserts. He takes a WAC hostage and she hopes to reform him. Made by Paramount Pictures.

The poster has a green background with yellow and white print and white trim. The feature image shows Ladd in a brown coat and hat holding a woman in a blue dress and hat. She is wearing white shoes and holding a purse. "Alan Ladd" is printed in yellow lettering in the top left corner; the title of the movie is printed in the same color in the bottom right corner.
