Alan Ladd was born September 3, 1913, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and lived in Arkansas until around the age of five. He was an actor who appeared in over 80 films and was one of the most recognizable celebrities of the 1940s and '50s. He starred in such films as "Two Years before the Mast," "The Blue Dahlia," and "The Great Gatsby." However, Ladd is perhaps best known for his role in the 1953 western movie "Shane." Ladd died on January 29, 1964.

The movie is about a pilots who fly cargo between India and China. When a friend is murdered, they investigate and become suspicious of the friend's fiancée.

The card has a yellow background with red and black print and white trim. A color image from the movie shows Ladd and two women. Ladd is wearing a white suit and dark tie and is holding the arm of a woman behind her back. The woman has dark hair and is wearing a yellow dress. Standing behind them in the background is a woman in a red dress. The title of the movie is printed in red lettering in the bottom left corner.
