DescriptionA Conway Twitty album entitled "Conway Twitty Country". Twitty lived in Helena, Arkansas during his childhood.

Conway Twitty was born Harold Jenkins on Sept. 1, 1933, in the small town of Friars Point, Miss. His father, a riverboat pilot, taught him his first guitar chords when Conway was just 4 years old. From a black church in the town, he heard the sounds of gospel, and every Saturday night the family gathered around the radio for the Grand Ole Opry. His family moved to Helena, Ark., when he was 10, and there he put together his first band, the Phillips County Ramblers. Two years later, he had his own local radio show every Saturday morning.

A Conway Twitty album entitled "Conway Twitty Country". The album cover features a photograph of Twitty wearing a yellow collared shirt. The background of the album is blue and the artists' name, album title, and credits are printed in yellow, pink, orange, and green. There is an adhesive sticker with contact information for "Windell G. Maulden". The album was produced by Decca Records in 1965.
