DescriptionBlack and white photographic print of the 15th NW Arkansas Confederate Flag being returned to the State of Arkansas. Governor Orval Faubus accepted the flag from the Governor of Indiana during a special ceremony held on the front steps of the Old State House Museum.
The flag was captured by Private Amos Nagle of Co. K, 18th Indiana Volunteers in May, 1863 near Port Gibson, Mississippi. Returned to the State of Arkansas by Indiana's Governor, Matthew Walsh on June 1, 1962.
