    DescriptionCarte de visite of Union General William Sherman.
    Rectangular piece of light brown card stock paper with a smaller rectangular image adhered to the front. The image depicts an oval portrait of a man in a Union officer uniform. Beneath the original place of the image in the album is the handwritten inscription "General Sherman." The corners of the CDV have been clipped.
