    DescriptionField glasses or binoculars from the Civil War era. The body of the binoculars are made of two brass tubes with glass lenses on each end. Both eyepieces are marked in raised lettering "Jumelle, Paris". The eyepieces and viewing end of the glasses are made of a darker metal and joined to the larger brass body by a square nut threaded onto a long black metal rod.
