She appeared in over 40 films and TV series. She was best known for her role in the 1982 film “An Officer and a Gentleman,” for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. She also won an Academy Award as a producer for her 2001 film “The Accountant.” Blount died October 25, 2010, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
