DescriptionProhibition-era leather Bootlegger briefcase contains two silver-plated large flasks or decanters. This case was not the type of smuggling container used by bootleggers or bathtub-gin runners, but rather by affluent businessmen who preferred to carry their spirits discretely in public. Each flask, stamped on the bottom, holds 64 fluid ounces. On the bottom of the briefcase in small type, is stamped the following: MADE BY ABERCROMBIE & FITCH NEW YORK MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND.
