    DescriptionJohnny Cash LP on Sun Records. The cover has a photograph of Cash holding a small bag in his right hand and small piece of paper in his left while wearing brown suede leather jacket, black shirt, black pants, light brown cowboy hat, and gun strapped to his right leg. He is leaning against a wooden post and there is a train in the background. The photo is displayed on a white background and the lettering is in blue, black, and red. The cover (2002.166.08.1) is signed by Cash in black ink. The back of the cover is white with black graphic of train enclosing insights of the train songs on the record with the song titles in black lettering. The album inside the cover (2002.166.08.2) is signed by Cash in gold ink.

    Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, The Johnny Cash Show). Cash died September 12, 2003.
