DescriptionAuction notice for the sale of two slaves. A slave named Lucy and her daughter Charlotte; both were to be sold at an auction near the Saline River in Pulaski County in August of 1837. Both women were part of the estate of Martin Fletcher, deceased.

Dated June 26, 1837.

"Notice, Is hereby given that pursuant to the order of the Circuit Court of Lawrence County. I will on the first Monday of August next - Sell at public auction at the House of ___Lockhart on the Saline in Pulaski County. A negro woman slave called and known by the name of Lucy and her child Charlotte, belonging to the Estate of Martin Fletcher deceased. The purchaser giving Bond with security payable twelve months after the date. - June 26, 1837"
