DescriptionThree printed invitations, Black text on yellowed paper, cover reads: "1909 - 1927, The 18th Anniversary of the Heber Springs House Party, At the Residence of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Chamberlin, 2124 Gaines Street, Little Rock." Inside cover reads: "1909 - 1927, To celebrate the Eighteenth Anniversary of the Heber Springs House Party, 'Pa' and 'Ma' call the family to gather about the festive board at 2124 Gaines Street, Little Rock, for dinner at 6:30 P.M. on Friday, December thirteenth, nineteen hundred twenty-seven. For your guidance as to how you should be attired, appropriate illustration accompany this. Please comply as nearly as possible, the season permitting. Silks and satins will be out of harmony with the mode and character of service to be offered, just as they are out of harmony with the humble but delightful sojourn we would imitate. Reminiscences of the place and experiences noted will have full sway after an imitative menu, and this is the reason the call is to the immediate family only. R.S.V.P." Includes three black and white photos of original party at Heber Springs. Names of each family member are printed in black text below photos. All are included in photo album 1984.026.14.
