    Jett was a doctor who moved to Washington, Arkansas from Culpepper, Virginia in 1829. He was born on Aug. 24, 1808 in Culpepper, Virginia and died Dec. 29, 1865 in Hempstead Co., Arkansas. He is buried in Old Washington Cemetery.
