Camp Dodge was a "makeshift training camp" used for training troops during the Spanish-American War. It was located at College Ave. and 17th Street in Little Rock. The men who mustered there came from 32 different counties across the state. The camp was named for Dr. Roderick Dodge because the land had been donated by the Dodge family.
