    DescriptionBlack and white Johnny Cash promotional poster. Cash leaning against a fence or barn wall with what looks to be a hay field in front of him. Cash is dressed in dark colored clothes has his guitar case also propped up against the fense. Cash is written in all black capitol letter across the top of the poster. Cash was born Kinsland, Arkansas. He grew up as a share cropper's son in rural Arkansas. He learned to play and sing at young age. There was not much else to do for entertainment in the area. In 1955, Cash signed his first recording contract that got him started. He has been inducted into the country music hall of fame along with the rock and roll hall of fame.

    Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, The Johnny Cash Show). Cash died September 12, 2003.
