DescriptionFour inch spoon displays the Mines and Metallurgy Building in the bowl of the spoon. The beautiful handle displays the evolution over the past one hundred years from 1803 to 1903. Just above the where the handle and the bowl meet 1803 is inscipted on the handle. As we go right in direction we meet a small herd of buffallo followed a man on a horse. The next caption to the right depicts men planting crops by hand, followed by the next caption of men planting crops using a horse or mule. As we more into toward the present on the time line on the handle we see people with horse and carriage. The final image is a train followed by the year 1903. On the under side of the handle is written "Louisiana Purchase Exposition".
