DescriptionThis commemorative coin has profiles of both Jefferson and Napoleon minted in the center of the front side of the coin. Encircling the men are the words "Louisiana Purchase Exposition" and "Official Souvenir". On the obverse of the coin is an image of the United States divided regions as to when each section became an official part of the United States of America. The focal point of the map is the region purchased by the Louisiana Purchase. It is commemorating the centinual of ownership by the United States. At the top of the coin is written "Louisiana Territory 1803" and on the bottom portion of the coin "St. Louis 1904".
