    DescriptionUnion belt buckle excavated at the Franklin Battlefield near Franklin, Tennessee.
    The buckle has a brass finish and is elliptical in shape. At the center of the buckle, the letters "US" are raised in a block serif style. The reverse of the buckle is of matte silver metal with three projections, two round and one pointed.
