    DescriptionPair of leather saddlebags used by Dr. H.B. (Hamilton Bradford) Wear. The bags are both badly worn and degraded. Brass clasp mechanism on the front flap of each bag. In the interior of one bag, there is a wood fram insert contained twelve small glass medical bottles. Dr. Wear served as a surgeon in the 17th Arkansas Infantry and may have used these bags during the war.
