"State of Arkansas
County of Jackson
Know all men by these
(?) I Elizabeth Fortenberry of the county
of Jackson in the state of Arkansas have
this day bargained sold and delivered for
Robert Gulliams of the county and state aforesa
-id two negroes (sic) slaves for life unto with
a man by the name of Andy about twenty five
years old, and negro woman niece Auty about eight
years old, and for the sum of five hundred
and seventy five dollars. As we in hand (?)
by the said Robert Gulliams, the receipt thereof
is hereby acknowledged, therefore I do bargain
sell all my rights like (?) and blame that
I have in and to the aforesaid negroes so the
said Robert Gulliams his heirs and (?)
for ever, but the like of with (?) I bind my
[-]self and each of my heirs and executor and
administrators to warrant and for ever
defend in law or equity it is understood
that Robert Gulliams is to go to Memphis and
in the State of Tennesee [sic] after the negro Andy
and receive him where he now is

20th day of April A.D. 1845
