DescriptionBlue Union officer’s frock coat that has been modified for civilian use. It does still fit all descriptions of standard officer's clothing. Loose threads can be found where officer’s shoulder straps (rank) were sewn onto the shoulders. Lining is green polished cotton, 21 1/2 split in back, black felt color. Front inside panels are quilted; both sides have 7 buttons and holes. Arm length is 24"; shoulder width is 5 1/4", sleeves lined in linen. Two buttons on back. Small hole on back of forearm. Hand repair inside left shoulder.
