DescriptionPendant necklace belonging to Nancy Hall. The gold colored pendant features the silhouette of a donkey against an oval background with scalloped edges. The donkey has a red gemstone eye and there is a gold chain attached to the pendant. The back of the pendant is engraved: "Office Family 12-25-73"

Nancy Johnson Hall (1904–1991) was the first woman in Arkansas to be elected to a constitutional office. Upon the death of her husband C.G. "Crip" Hall in 1961, she was appointed to serve the remainder of his term as secretary of state by Governor Orval Faubus. Hall then went on to be elected as Arkansas state treasurer in 1962, running unopposed in the general election as a Democrat. Hall served as treasurer for 18 years.
