    DescriptionA hand-carved rosewood Gentleman's chair of French Renaissance owned by the Conway family (Governors James Sevier Conway and Elias Nelson Conway). It was one of a suite owned by George Conway of Tennessee, First Major General of Tennessee 1796 - 1801. Fruit and seed motif. Brocade upholstery. The chair was displayed at Arkansas Centennial in 1936.
