    DescriptionEnvelope is addressed to C. Pinto, 17 Battery Place, R. 2333, New York, N.Y., has a picture of Claiborne on the front left to celebrate the Arkansas Centennial, 1836-1936. Under the picture is a snippet about the Louisiana Purchase and Claiborne. Envelope has a three cent stamp and is postmarked Little Rock, June 15, 1936.
    William C.C. Claiborne was appointed first American Governor of the new Louisiana Territory in 1804.
