    DescriptionSheet music for "Southern Cross Drill," is a march and two-step is composed and published by T. J. Firth, from The Brigade Band Master during the Civil War. Cover has a bold red title with a blue outline. The cover includes three waving flags from the Confederate Union. In order; Stars and Bars, The Navel Jack, and National Flag of 1865. Under the flags is a greyscale photo inset of Capt. W.L.McLean. Inscribed below the photo is "Capt. W. L. McLean The only Survivor of the Southern Cross Drill, composed by Lieut. Dugan, of South Carolina, while a Prisoner of War in the U.S. Military Prison, Johnson's Island, Lake Erie O 1864."
