    Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. After attending several elite schools, he began his political career in 1910 as a United States Senator. Roosevelt was elected Thirty-Second President of the United States in 1933 and served until his death in 1945. He is widely known for his program for relief, recovery, and reform, known as the New Deal. Roosevelt married his wife, Eleanor, in 1905 and the pair had six children. He passed away on April 12, 1945.
