    DescriptionA black and white autographed photograph of Arkansas native Julie Adams on the set of "The Creature from the Black Lagoon." This 1954 horror movie started Julie Adams in her most notable role as Kay Lawrence. In the photograph, Adams is wearing a white bathing suit and is sitting on the ground of a cave, and behind her is the Creature with his arms outstretched as if to grab her. Adams' note and autograph is in the top left hand corner in black ink.

    Julie Adams was born Betty Adams on October 17, 1926, in Waterloo, Iowa, but grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a film and television actress who is best known for her role in the film “The Creature from the Black Lagoon." She attended Little Rock Junior College (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock). She changed her name to Julie Adams when she started working for Universal Pictures in 1949. She has appeared in over 100 films and TV series.
