The two page booklet titled “The Great Louis Jordan” has a black and white photograph of Jordan on the front and back holding his saxophone. Inside the booklet are two reviews of his musical career. One written by Edwin McDowell "Louis Jordan- with Humor and Dignity" and the other "Louis Jordan - - - by L. Feather."

    Louis Jordan was born July 8, 1908 in Brinkley, Arkansas. He was an African-American musician, singer and song writer. He briefly attended Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, majoring in music. Although he could play a variety of instruments, he was best known for his saxophone playing and was nicknamed "The King of the Jukebox." He appeared in and sang in a number of movies over the years. Jordan died February 4, 1975.
