This photograph was taken on July 26, 1987, as Clinton gave the opening speech at a meeting during the annual National Governors' Association conference in Traverse City, Michigan. Clinton is standing in front of a row of flags and a banner that says "National Governors' Association 79th Annual Meeting". Several people are seated at tables on both sides of him. It is a United Press International photograph.

    William “Bill” Jefferson Clinton, born William Jefferson Blythe IV, was born in Hope, Arkansas on August 19, 1946. Clinton was the fortieth and forty-second governor of Arkansas, as well as the forty-second president of the United States. He married his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, in 1975 and their daughter, Chelsea, was born in 1980.
