Charlaine Harris is a New York Times bestselling author who has been writing for thirty years. She was born and raised in the Mississippi River Delta area. Harris created The Sookie Stackhouse urban fantasy series about a telepathic waitress named Sookie Stackhouse who lives in the fictional Northern Louisiana town. Sookie Stackhouse has proven to be so popular, HBO created a series, True Blood, based upon the books. She lives in Magnolia, Arkansas.

A bottle of "Tru Blood" from the HBO series "True Blood", a television adaptation of Arkansas based best-selling author Charlaine Harris' "Sookie Stackhouse" series. The bottle is comprised of red colored glass, a black cap, and a Tru Blood label. The label is red, gold, and black, and states "O Positive", "Tru Blood", and "Blood Orange Carbonated Drink". This beverage bottle is similar to the ones featured in the "True Blood" television series containing synthetic blood for vampires.
