Melinda Dillon was born October 13, 1939 in Hope, Arkansas, and has acted in over 25 movies. She is an actress best known for her roles in “A Christmas Story” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”. She was nominated for two Academy Awards for her performances in “Close Encounters of the Third King” and “Absence of Malice.” She was also nominated for a Golden Globe for “Bound for Glory.”
