DescriptionA trapezoid shaped wood panel with 3 nail holes on each side. Originally covered with a greenish blue decoration label, in an eight point star. "Bros. and Co." and a trademark in a circle. Hard to make out, but looks like a tree within a setting sun. Pasted over the blue green label, a second label, white (originally) with a drawing of many black people in a cotton field in a plantation, river and steamboat in background. At the top it says "Cotton Picker" and "copyrighted 1873" at the bottom. Both labels are chipped, scratched, and torn.
On reverse: Remnants of a white label, nothing remains of the printing (if any).
