James Clarence Wakeley, better known as Jimmy Wakely, was born in Mineola, Howard County, Arkansas on February 16, 1914. He was a country western singer and actor. From 1930s-1950s, he released records, appeared in several western movies with most major studios, appeared on radio and television, and had his own series of comic books. He appeared in over 65 films and TV episodes. Wakely died on September 23, 1982 in California.
A Jimmy Wakely album entitled "Here's Jimmy Wakely". The album cover features a photograph of Wakely wearing a brown suit, collared shirt, and tie while holding a guitar. A green band along the top of the album cover features the artists' name, album title, and song list. The album was produced by Decca Records in 1969.
