DescriptionJefferson Davis trade card made by Harter's True Iron Tonic. Davis' face is on the sepia toned front of this medicinal ad card. In black print on the front of the card: "Harter's/The Only True Iron Tonic" and "Beautifies the Complexion/Purifies the Blood" and "Jeff Davis, The President of the Confederacy." The back of the card describes the tonic and what it can do for the body. There are also testimonials to the medicine on the bottom half. "Dr. Harter's Medicine Co./Established 1855/St. Louis, MO"
