DescriptionTwo letters and one envelope handwritten on Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association letterhead. First letter is to Mrs. Samuel Preston Davis from Bertha. The second letter to Mrs. Davis from Annette.

The first letter states:

Monday, April 25th.

Dear Mrs. Davis:- My! What a priveledge to have known and ? you. To have had the close association of years of ? friendship, To have watched you with interest and pride, climb the steps of Patriotic societies, reaching the top in our Daughters of 1812.
Filling so splendidly the office of National President. and now on the threshhold of the Presidency of the Daughters of American Revolution.

I first want to congratulate the National association in their choice of you, There may I say "I told you so." There was not the slightest shadow of a doubt in my mind as to your election.

I felt anxious about you in regard to the daughters in ? and called Rebecca to ask about you. We will be so glad to see you when you come here. Wishing you every happiness and success in life and a safe trip ? with much love - Bertha

The second letter states:

Dear Mrs. Davis,
May I add a note to Mother's letter, congratulating you, also the Daughters of the American Revolution in selecting you as Vice President General, we fel so proud of you- With lots of love, Annette
