DescriptionA pair of boots worn by Arkansas native Johnny Cash. The boots are knee high, made of alligator and leather, and feature an embroidered eagle design with gold, red, white, and blue accents. Silver buttons line the outer upper thigh and blue tassels hang to the ankles. The right boot contains a brown leather pouch. The boots are size 13D. The manufacturers may have been Lucchese Boot Company with the design instructions provided by Cash. The boots were briefly on loan to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for exhibition in New York City, New York.

Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas, and was raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor, and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, "The Johnny Cash Show"). Johnny Cash died September 12, 2003.
