DescriptionBlack and white photographic print of Confederate veteran, Thomas E. Riddle. Riddle was 106 years old when the photograph was taken. It shows Riddle being sworn in before giving a deposition in a court case contesting the will of Samuel D. Riddle, owner of the race horse, Man O' War. Riddle was one of four veterans who was able to attend the 1949 Confederate Veterans reunion in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the last living veteran at the Confederate Home in Austin, Texas.
