DescriptionBlack and white photographic postcard showing the Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The monument was dedicated in 1897. This cemetery is the final resting place for approximately 500 Confederate soldiers who fell at the Battle of Pea Ridge, Prairie Grove, and Fayetteville.

This cemetery was created when the women of the Southern Medical Association purchased three acres atop East Mountain (which is now Mount Sequoyah) in 1872.
