    DescriptionA scrapbook from the Brown family with miscellaneous Civil War and U.C.V. related items. Handwritten on an envelope inside the front cover states "From A.E. Marke - B.J. Brown's scrapbook, goes first my wife, then to my son, H.R. Brown/Oct. 8, 1893 - B.J. Brown". The envelope contains a collection of newspaper articles such as wedding announcements, obituaries, various Sunday articles and letter from the "Arkansas Gazette" and "Van Buren Press". The cover has an embossed design of deer. "Pat. March 1881" is situated below the design.
