    DescriptionFive matching "Ruptured Duck" military patches, formally called the Honorable Service Lapel Patch. Each patch is constructed of a green diamond shaped cloth backing with a gold embroidered eagle at the center. This patch was given members of the US Army that were honorably discharged at the conclusion of World War II.

    George Edward Fisher was born on April 8, 1923 near Searcy, Arkansas. Fisher was a political cartoonist whose work influenced and helped define Arkansas politics for a generation. In 1943, he was called to active duty with the Army Reserves. Fisher passed away on December 15, 2003 of a heart attack at his drawing board in his Little Rock home.
