    DescriptionCoin silver baptismal cup. Raised floral decoration on rim, base, handle and foot. Inscription reads, "B. McCulloch Govan/From/Maj. Ben McCulloch." Made by F.H. Clark & Co. in Memphis, Tennessee.

    This cup was given to Daniel C. Govan's son, Ben McCulloch Govan, upon his birth in 1854 by Major General Ben McCulloch. Govan and McCulloch was cousins and close friends.

    Major General McCulloch was killed during the Battle of Pea Ridge in 1862.
