DescriptionThe address is handwritten in pencil to Alfred Bouchard of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. In the upper right corner there is a three cent postage stamp that is red in tint, depicts the Old State House Museum, and celebrates the centennial. On the left side of the cover there is a gold image of the Old State House Museum. Around the image, the dates 1836 and 1936 are given and in violet print it reads "Arkansas" and "Centennial." Underneath the image it reads: "Old State House Museum, First Capital Building of the State of Arkansas. The Old State House Museum, the former State Capitol, is now State War Memorial, and within its stately walls linger tragic recollections of the Lost Cause, which is still very real in Southern memories, and very dear to Southern hearts." Under that caption it reads, "First Day Cover."
