DescriptionBrass and gold plated badge that reads, "Chief Police, Hot Springs N.P Ark." & "Joe Wakelin." The badge has a mine cut diamond mounted in the lower center of it.Wakelin was Chief of Police of the Hot Spring Police Department circa 1927 to 1935. He was sent to prison along with Dutch Akers for harboring federal fugitive Alvin Karpis.
