DescriptionCivil War Era copy of the New Testament, published by the American Bible Society in 1862. The book is bound and covered in brown cloth. The covering is worn along the edges of the book, revealing the binding and raw cardboard. The front and back feature an embossed Victorian floral design. The spine of the book reads "TESTAMENT/AND/PSALMS" in gold lettering. Inside the book are a series of signatures in pencil, "Minnie Hennigh." In addition to the signature, one page features the inscription "Carlisle, Pennsylvania."
