DescriptionCane head belonging to former Arkansas Governor James Phillip Eagle (D).James Phillip Eagle (D) served as Governor of Arkansas from 1889-1893. Eagle was born in Tennessee though his family would later to move to Arkansas. During the Civil War, Eagle fought with the Fifth Arkansas Mounted Regiment.
The cane head is gold plated with an ivory inlay. It is engraved "JAS P. Eagle."
