    DescriptionSmall paper bound book, "Rifle and Infantry Tactics" by Major General W.J. Hardee, Vol. 1, published in 1862 by S.H. Goetzel & Co.. The book is covered in a multi-colored paper with an irregular cobbled pattern and a black spine. Two-hundred and twenty-eight pages, the book has two inscriptions inside the first pages. The first reads "Wallace Cunningham/Co. A 63 Ohio", and the second, "The Property of/Daniel Turrentine/Price $1.75." The book was supplied to Confederates during the Civil War.
