This is a fictional character from the Lum & Abner radio show and movies. On the back of the card it reads "Greetings from Lum N Abner town Pine RIdge Arkansas." Printed by Starco Print in Mena, Arkansas. Uncirculated.Chester Lauck (known as Lum Eddards) and Norris Goff (known as Abner Peabody) both grew up in Arkansas and both attended the University of Arkansas. They created the radio show, Lum & Abner, which was set in the fictional town of Pine Ridge, Arkansas. It ran from 1931 to 1954. The show was modeled on life in Waters, Arkansas. In fact, Waters eventually changed its name to Pine Ridge. Several films were made off of the radio show.
