Rosie Lee "Pearl" Reed was born in 1868 in Rich Hill, Missouri to Jim and Belle Starr Reed. After working as a prostitute in Van Buren, Arkansas, she spent most of her life as the owner of a bordello in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
