DescriptionBroach Family Bible. Written inside: "This book was won as a prize at S.S. [Sunday School] for perfect attendance & perfect lessons during the year 1856, it was in the M E C S Sunday S, the Pastor was Rev. J. Reed. My S.S. teacher was Miss Jane Tom. The church was near Seguine in Guadaloop (?) Texas -Catherine Atkins Reynolds, Catherine A. Broach." Original dark brown covering was cloth and all but one half of the back is missing the original covering.Status
