    DescriptionGreen elbow-length leather gloves with off-white stitching around wrist openings and three snaps on each wrist belonging to Anne Brough, wife of Governor Charles Hillman Brough. Gloves have green stains and brown discoloration.

    Anne Brough was the twenty-fifth First Lady of Arkansas, 1917-1921. During World War I, Anne served as an active Chairman for the Woman’s Auxiliary of State Council of Defense, the Red Cross's supply- making sessions and Liberty and Victory Loans. Anne also made appearances at Suffragette Rallies in support of the right for woman to vote in the United States.
